about

Originally released in 2005. Since then this beat album dedicated and inspired by the early Chess Cadet Records sound has been released on ABB Records, Tribe Records in Japan and also ended up on many un-officilal download sites; But Hey! this is the official space to get this project. The unmixed seperated tracks version.
"Marc Mac drums together some chess players for this limited album called "How About A Game of Chess?" sampling a million artists like Ramsey Lewis, Rotary Connection, Howlin Wolf, Dorothy Ashby, Shirley Scott and Ahmad Jamal. This one's strictly for the beat heads; lots of short hip hop skits with a bossa rework of 'Black Gold Of The Sun' as a welcome bonus. The west london boys are spoiling us this year. Look out for this one, it may never become an official release."
