Marcia DaVinylMC Marc Mac is one of our Foundational Father's and a true orator of sound. He is the quiet giant of the Underground - as this latest EP "Ja-Pan-Ah" displays.

Four exceptional cuts that beautifully fuses the bed of broken beat and elements of contemporary jazz with native Japanese instruments - a superb musical snapshot of the last four decades suitable for the most discernible club dance floors. Favorite track: Yasuke Soul.

about

Back with another high grade Bruk, Electro Boogie monster. This is the fourth and final piece of the series. From Africa to Jamaica, Brazil and now Japan Marc Mac has explored the international fusion of Riddims that have been an influence on his style of Broken Beat. The four track EP is naturally under-pinned with Jazzy/Funkiness and a hint of Jungle in the subs can be felt on "Kambei". 'Yasuke Soul" and "Tokyo Nightlife" feel like a head nod to Ryuichi and Akiko... its a journey, so buckle up and get ready for a ride eastbound.
Brilliant cover art is supplied by Mitchy Bwoy.
