Soul On 10
This set of mixtapes couldn't be more relevant today. They're all good, featuring instrumental hip hop beats interlaced with historical sound clips from the 20th century African diaspora. There's a lot of J Dilla in these beats. The tapes have themes like the Black Panthers, Blacks in the military, and so on. Overall, the vibe is chill but quietly defiant. I shake my head when I hear the stories of injustices decades ago that are still happening today.
